Get long layers so your hair doesn't appear as thick and doesn't look shaggy like a lot of very-layered hairstyles do.

Or for a more minimalist look, I'd recommend Nicole Richie's hairstyle here, though it doesn't have too many layers.

I think layered hair is nice (that's what I have) ^.^ You can have the kind like Haruno Sakura from Naruto (2 side bangs) or the one like Tifa's (one side bang) that's the one I have lol.
