Layered hair?

im getting my hair cut 2morrow nd im thinking of getting my hair layered. i have medium length straight hair. i wanna be able to still put it in a ponytail. WILL THIS WORK???!?!?!?!

Yeah, just ask your stylist to make the layers long enough that you can put them in a ponytail.

Layers look great - I had hair similar to yours (medium length and straight), but I got layers and kept the length, and it looks great. It gave my hair more body and texture.

Yes, layers are great for everyone!!! Just tell your stylist that you want layers, but you still want to be able to put your hair up. It should work just fine.

well it all depends on the length! if your hair is up to your shoulder or a little lower then yes you can! but if you get reall short layers in your hair than that could be a problem! make the shortest ones be 3/4 of your head!

You should ask for layers, shortest layers at the front to about your chin level, longest onese to your shoulders or longer and you should still be able to put it in a pony tail. razored side bangs would definately complete the look.

it just depends on how short you want the layers. you can ask for say chin length layers. also with all the hair products available you should be able to still put it in a pony still. think waxes, bobby pins clips etc. the messy look is in so you should practise to see what suits you.
