How to make washing hair more fun???

It doesn't matter if I have long, medium, or short hair, I have never liked it and have always considered it a major chore. In fact, I rather clean the bathroom than wash my hair. I don't understand how some people can wash it daily, I basically wash it as infrequently as I can get away with it (3-6 days).

It's not just washing it, but everything about it. I stopped blow-drying my hair to shorten the process. I also keep it on the ultra low-maintenance side, meaning no gel, no hairspray, no perms, just brushing it. I usually leave my hair down, but sometimes I tie it back.

Now, don't get me wrong, I love my hair. Everytime I go to the salon, *usually cut + color" I pay around $200. I also buy and use some very high end stuff, such as Phyto and Redken. I get several compliments on my hair even when I don't get it done.

Any ideas? If it's any other ideas on how to keep my hair cleaner longer, that can work too!

okay well i used to get so bored washing my hair too. so i started trying different shampoos, usually smelly ones now. it helped, but i wasnt completely amazed or anything. but then, i got a shower radio and everything changed. now i look forward to taking a shower!! i just dance around and listen to my favorite tunes!! also i usually just use a dot of shampoo so its faster to wash out (because thats really all you need) and i just rub it in for like 5 seconds and then i wash the rest of my body in the meantime. and sometimes i use the rub in or spray in conditioner. i recommend anything by infusium23. it doesnt leave your hair all greasy. good luck!!

Well i use to use this stay in conditioner. u can apply to wet or dry hair and it smells good. and it makes is softer

Since you don't wash often (which is best) - I'd shell out $$ for a salon wash once a week or so. I LOVE to have my waist-length hair washed at the Salon. OR.... get hubby/boyfriend to do it - that is oh, so nice too!!
