I did carmel and a dark red and it looked great. 3:1 (3 carmel to every 1 red) If you go to a good stylist she/he will be able to help. I try to stay close to my natural highlights (that is if I had time to be out in the sun all day)

Just to give your hair a summer look. Go dark during the winter and highlight it during the summer. You still won't be a Blondie.

I have the same thing... All you need to do is Ask your hairdresser. I got a Carmel color with some dark blond. I don't get a lot of highlights though because you don't want to turn your head to stripes!! Don't go to more than two shades lighter or three shades darker.

When I got my highlights yesterday my stylist mixed two colors together Violet Red (Looks purple) and Red Violet (looks red) and it turned out awesome! It really depends on how drastic you want to go. You salon should have sample boards, don't do it yourself, that can never be good, and you can hold the samples up to see what you like with your skin tone and hair color. Unless you are really pale, something in the red family would probably be your best bet. You may want to start by doing a partial weave where they do just small pieces to make sure you like it first.

i have seen ppl with darker brown and lighter brown highlights, with some reddish highlights too and i thought that, that looked really cool..you might want to try black? idk just a thought. goodluck!

You could go with a medium caramel, I have dark brown hair and I have used the caramel with blonde highlites. It looks GREAT.

with ANY kind of brown multi highlights looks the best i would do a dark ash blond on top, and then a darker brown throughout your whole head

Get some nice Copper and Honey tones to your hair Get lowlights and highlights, but done by a stylist. it can be pricey but worth a new look you :)

But a bit of a health warning, plz get a dye test done first, to check that you are not gonna have a reaction to the chemicals. The stylist shuld place a tiny bit of dye on a cotton bud behind your ear, and leave the colorant there for a 24hr period. or maybe do a strand test which ever is suited to the colorants.
