cut it in layers, it looks really nice. i just got mine cut in layers a few days ago and it looks really nice. the salon lady told me that layered hair is always on style

and let the rest of your hair down. you can do a side ponytail, a regular pony tail, whether it's tied high or low .. it all depends on your facial features, and what look would compliment your look :) layers are always nice, but if cut too short, it's a hassle to manage. i got my hair layered and they were cut pretty short, and now it's really poofy, and i have to straighten my hair everytime i go out .. and as a result my hair is fried from straightening it constantly :[ so i reccomend getting long layers .. good luck !
