I have medium to dark brown hair, and I want to die it blonde. I dont know what color blonde. Platiumn? And if I couldnt die it platumn blonde, is there ANY blondes that I could die it without bleaching it?

no, you have to strip your color first through bleaching. once all your pigment is out of the hair, then you can dye it any color.

Which is why I'd prefer staying brunette... I don't want to ruin my hair any more than I have before.

Not sure if you can do it temporarily. But without bleaching, you'd have to use a couple of boxes of blonde dye.

actually, there are high-lift colors made especially for dark hair that you can apply that lighten and tone all in one step. i think loreal or clairol makes a good one. go to sally beauty supply they have it. do not get a box color. make sure you get one made especially for dark hair or your tone will be messed up reddish orangish.

there is no way to temporarily lighten your hair. once it is lightened, you have to apply more color to get it dark again.
